Jakarta Highlight Excursion

Through the bustling city of Jakarta, the drive will pass Merdeka Square, National Monument, and Presidential Palace. The visit will be to the National Museum (close on Monday) and Sunda Kelapa Old Harbor. In the afternoon, will be going to the beautiful Indonesia in Miniature Park. In the park, we will visit several pavilions illustrating the multifaceted Indonesia culture, also we will visit the Museum Indonesia.

National Museum offers historical, prehistoric, archaeological, and ethnographic aspects of Indonesia through extensive collection of artefacts and relic is good introduction to the life of Indonesia's various ethnic groups.

Sunda Kelapa, better known as Pasar Ikan (fish market) is located at the mouth of the Ciliwung River. This over 500-year-old harbor area was a vital link to markets of the outside world for the 15th century kingdom of Pajajaran. It was formerly the harbor town of Sunda Kelapa where the Portuguese traded with the Hindu Kingdom of Pajajaran in the early 16th century. Sunda Kelapa is at present a fisherman's wharf and an inter-island port. Tall-misted Bugis schooners from South Sulawesi anchoring there offers a picturesque scene as one of the finest sights to be offered. 

Taman Mini Indonesia Indah gives visitors a glimpse of the diversity of the Indonesian archipelago in a single location. This extensive park of houses exhibits from all of Indonesia's provinces. It has its own orchid garden, bird-park with a walk-in aviary, IMAX theater, a fauna museum and recreational grounds. The highlight is the Museum Indonesia, housing contemporary arts crafts and traditional costumes from around the country.
